In December and January Vonkel shows the first solo-exhibition of Debbie Young, who this year graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague and last month won the Piket award for Painting 2016. The jury characterizes her work as a succesful combination of realistically painted elements, pictures, plaster, clay figurines and layers of epoxy with which Debbie encourages the viewer to look in differtent ways. The result is both explosive and vulnerably personal.
